We weren't sure what to expect, but so far Myanmar has far exceeded our expectations. The internet has been sorely lacking, obviously, and I've got notes galore to type up, and photos in abundance, but I have to make haste while it's available.
The people are beautiful. The countryside is beautiful. The food is delicious. The inter-country transportation is seamless. Aung San Suu Kyi's image is everywhere. I think the internet is failing so I'm going to post this and then try to upload images. More as soon as I can -- today we're going out on Inle Lake, the site of the photo in the masthead. SO WONDERFUL HERE.
